Faisal Baig

Faisal Baig is the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of ASFAR (Saudi Tourism Investment Company), a subsidiary of Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF). As CIO, he oversees investments across the tourism value chain in support of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030.

Mr. Baig is a distinguished investment professional with more than 20 years of experience in private equity, venture capital, M&A, and investment banking. He has a strong track record of executing high-profile transactions across the U.S., Europe, and the Middle East. Before joining ASFAR in 2023, he served as a Division Head in Aramco's corporate development team, playing a crucial role in strategic M&A, including the landmark $69 billion acquisition of SABIC. He also held senior private equity roles at GFH Financial Group and Investcorp, and began his career in the U.S. with firms such as Citi, JPMorgan, and New Enterprise Associates (NEA). Mr. Baig holds an MBA from Yale University and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Michigan State University.
