We organise and operate professional events across the GCC and beyond, including ALTInvest, Saudi Alternatives Exchange (SAX), and FutureFunds, operating collectively under the Middle East Investor Network brand.
We are the data controller in respect of personal data collected in connection with our events, website, and communications. Our primary contact for data matters is hello@me-in.com.
2. Scope and applicable law
We are committed to handling your personal data responsibly and in accordance with applicable data protection law. Depending on where you are based and where our events are held, the following laws may apply to how we process your data:
UAE: Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (UAE PDPL)

Where these laws overlap, we apply the standard that affords the greater protection to you.
3. What data we collect and why
3a. Event registration
When you register for a ME-IN Event, we collect:
Name, job title, and company
Business email address and telephone number
Country of residence or operation
Dietary requirements or accessibility needs (where provided)
Session and attendance preferences
We process this data to fulfil our contractual obligations to you as a registered delegate — specifically to manage your registration, communicate event logistics, and deliver the event experience you have signed up for.
3b. Payment processing
For paid events, payment is processed by Stripe, Inc., a third-party payment processor. We do not store your full card or banking details. Stripe processes your payment data in accordance with its own privacy policy and is certified to PCI DSS standards. We receive only a transaction confirmation and limited billing data (such as billing name and postcode) necessary for our records.
3c. Event photography and filming
We capture photographs and video footage at our Events for use in promotional materials, on our website, and across our social media channels. This is done on the basis of our legitimate interest in documenting and promoting our Events. As noted in our Delegate Terms, attendees are informed of this at registration. If you have a specific objection, please contact us in advance at hello@me-in.com.
3d. Sponsor data sharing
Our Events are partly funded through commercial sponsorship. Some sponsors receive delegate data as part of their sponsorship arrangement. We will only share your registration data (name, job title, company, and business email) with event sponsors where you have given your explicit consent to this at the point of registration.
Where consent is given, sponsors are contractually required to process your data in compliance with applicable data protection law and to use it only for purposes consistent with the basis on which it was shared. Sponsors are independent data controllers in respect of any data we share with them. To opt out of future communications from a specific sponsor, please contact that sponsor directly.
You may withdraw your consent to sponsor data sharing at any time by contacting us at hello@me-in.com. Withdrawal of consent does not affect any processing that has already taken place.
3e. Marketing communications
With your consent, or on the basis of our legitimate interest in communicating with existing contacts and clients, we may contact you with information about future ME-IN Events, industry insights, and relevant commercial opportunities. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in any of our emails, or by contacting us directly.
3f. Website and cookies
Our website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies. Please see section 8 of this policy for full details of how we use cookies and how you can manage your preferences.
3g. Sponsored content downloads
Where our website hosts sponsored whitepapers, webinars, or research, downloading that content may require you to provide your name, email address, and company. With your consent, this information may be shared with the relevant content sponsor. You will be clearly informed of this at the point of download.
3h. Other collection
We may also collect personal data through competitions, surveys, direct enquiries, networking activities, and other interactions with our brand. In each case, we will make clear at the point of collection what data we are collecting and why.
